Florida Hispanic Heritage Month Student Contests

All Florida students are invited to participate in academic and creative contests based on this year's theme: “Celebrating Florida’s Hispanic Heroes and their Contributions to Freedom.” Students in grades K-3 are invited to participate in an art contest, while students in grades 4-12 are invited to participate in an essay contest. Additionally, students, parents, teachers, and principals are invited to nominate full-time educators of all student grades for the Hispanic Heritage Month Excellence in Education Award. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. (ET) on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Family Fun Night

Join the J.N. Darling National Wildlife Refuge as they kick off Hispanic Heritage Month at Lakes Park in Fort Myers on Friday, September 15th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Admission is FREE!

Latin Music Festival

Don't miss the Fort Myers Latin Music Festival featuring a lineup of talented performers at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater on Saturday, September 16th from Noon until 10pm.
