Dr. Michael Galbreath - Principal

Dr. Michael Galbreath is the Principal of Trafalgar Middle School.  He is a graduate of the University of Florida and has a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a Master’s in Education, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.  Dr. Galbreath is a Florida native and has worked at the middle school level for the past twenty-eight years as a Teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal.  Dr. Galbreath’s wife, Amy, also works for the School District of Lee County as a High School Gifted Resource Teacher.  His oldest daughter Megan is a graduate of Harvard University where she was a diver on the Women’s Swimming and Diving Team.  She now works as a Consultant for Bain & Company in Dallas, TX.  His youngest daughter Hannah is a Junior at Washington and Lee University in Virginia and is a setter on the Women’s Volleyball Team.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, boating, fishing, and Gator Football.

Mrs Borel

Darcia Borel - Assistant Principal

Darcia Borel is an Assistant Principal of Trafalgar Middle School.  She is a graduate of The University of Alabama, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Environmental Sciences, with a focus on Child Life.  Mrs. Borel also has two degrees from Nova Southeastern University, a Masters in Elementary Education, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.   Mrs. Borel has been an educator for 18 years, beginning her career in Broward County.  After relocating to Lee County, she continued to work as a Kindergarten Teacher, before becoming a Reading Specialist, Curriculum Specialist and then an administrator.  Mrs. Borel has been a member of the Trafalgar Middle School family since 2016.  Mrs. Borel is a native of Birmingham, Alabama.  She is married and her husband is a local attorney.  She has two children, both of whom attend elementary school in the Lee County School District.  In her free time, she enjoys attending her son’s soccer games, traveling outside the state of Florida with her family or spending a long weekend at Walt Disney World!  Mrs. Borel is not only a proud Lee County School District employee, but a proud Lee County School District parent.

William Koerick 

Bill Koerick - Assistant Principal

Mr. Bill Koerick is the newest Assistant Principal of Trafalgar Middle School.  He is a graduate of the University of North Florida and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on mathematics education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Jacksonville. Mr. Koerick has lived in Florida for most of his life, growing up through the public education system in Highlands County, and attending post-secondary schools in Gainesville and Jacksonville.  Ever since his years in high school, Mr. Koerick was interning and preparing to become a math teacher.  While at the University of Florida, Mr. Koerick coached football and substituted at the PK Yonge Developmental Research School.  During his first chapter in education, starting in 1995, Mr. Koerick found himself serving the students in Duval County teaching mathematics, coaching athletics and even administrating at both the middle and high school levels.  As he began his family life, Mr. Koerick moved to the Sarasota County area and began chapter two, where he continued teaching mathematics and coaching athletics.  And now chapter three has brought him to Lee County where he has been a math teacher and Dean of Student Services for Caloosa Middle School and looks forward to his adventures with the Tiger Sharks at Trafalgar.  With 28 years of service to public education, there is plenty left in his tank.  While not on campus, you may find Mr. Koerick umpiring a baseball game or checking in on his daughter who attends FSW or his son who is studying aviation mechanics at the Punta Gorda Airport.
